From the beginning in 1988 under the company name 'Taranaki NuChem', Zelam as it is today still maintains its status as a 100% New Zealand owned and operated company. We are based in New Plymouth, with research sites in Hawkes Bay, Canterbury, Brisbane and New Plymouth. 
  Research activity is conducted at a local level where staff can identify needs and develop innovative products to meet them. Zelam can boast a high level of very experienced research, technical and sales staff who are committed to their roles and industry. Zelam is a research driven company, boasting a number of world first proprietary formulations and is developing many more.
